I cannot recommend her enough! My husband Lee and I are absolutely delighted with how our day turned out. What started out as an email out of the blue enquiring about an elopement in Cape Town (I was absolutely fed up and overwhelmed at the thought of planning a wedding), ended up in a beautifully crafted intimate wedding five months later.

Leann organised the entire wedding (literally every aspect of it...I just had to rock up in a dress) seamlessly over email as I was based half way across the world.

If I had to do it over, I would not change a single thing. If you have any doubts about whether you need Leann as your wedding planner, this review should put those to rest.

Dear Leann, 

Words cannot describe how thankful we are for everything you have done for us. Ever since our first visit to South Africa, my wife and I had always dreamt of holding our wedding on a wine estate. We discarded the thought as merely a dream until a couple of years later, having visited South Africa again, we decided to take the plunge. Our biggest hurdle was making ceremony arrangements without being in the country.

We considered numerous visits to organize the necessary details but in the end decided to hire a wedding planner based in South Africa. Shortlisting a number of potential candidates, we finally decided on Bell's and Whistles based on their rapid, informed communications and genuine want to help. Still apprehensive of whether we had done the right thing ,we signed a contract with Bell's and some of the stress of wedding planning was immediately taken off our shoulders. Over the course of the next few months, we were in constant communication with Leann where she humoured our every whim and catered to our every request.

From photographers, videographers, venue, decoration, flowers, catering, priests, she offered invaluable help and assistance and literally acted as our eyes on the ground. With the scout videos, photos, and descriptions it was as if we were there ourselves. With her guidance, we were able to make all the big decisions together. When things moved along slowly our side from planning fatigue, she was always there to give us a little nudge to get things moving again. Leann went out of her way to help my wife order and ship her perfect wedding dress to Cape Town. When the time finally arrived and we had played out all the possible nightmare scenarios in our head, we were relieved to find that everything, and then some, had been organised to the letter. Our trust hadn't been misplaced!

We arrived a few days before the ceremony expecting a mad rush to finalize details but found the only things left for us to do was pick our music and turn up! The day went smoothly, the guests were happy, we were happy and memories were made. Compliments were abound about the set-up and how dreamlike the ceremony was. Our secret weapon for making our dream a reality was of course Leann. She was absolutely the perfect choice, friendly, welcoming and easy to talk to, she made sure everything went better than expected. What a lovely surprise to find out that Leann even helped the bridal party organize an amazing hen’s night!

All thanks go to Bell's and Whistles for creating this once in a lifetime memorable moment, and we'd in a heartbeat, love for Leanne to organize another wedding in Cape Town for us. I guess all we can do is recommend her, without hesitation.

To the most amazing wedding planner!!!

One of the best decisions we made as a couple was choosing you as our wedding planner. Planning a destination wedding can be really stressful, but thanks to your amazing organizational skills, you took away all the stress and handled every situation that popped up with expertise. We decided to get married in Cape Town - my husband and I had never visited Cape Town before but we loved the idea of getting married there.

Leann came highly recommended by a friend and based on that recommendation, we decided to book her as our wedding planner. We are so glad we did as everything was coordinated beautifully, just the way we wanted it. She went and visited the venue we choose to make sure it fits our requirements and sent us a full video tour, she sourced and liaised with all the vendors for the wedding and made sure we got exactly what we wanted - and we did!  When we arrived in Cape Town a week before the wedding, all we had to do was sit in on a couple of meetings with some vendors (which Leann arranged) and that was it! We had over a hundred guests arriving from different parts of the world and Leann helped sort out transportation and lodgings and everything went smoothly. This was by far the most challenging part of the planning as the wedding was taking place in Western Cape, about a 90mins drive from Cape Town, but Leann made sure that all the logistics where sorted out with the best transport service providers.

On the day of the wedding, she was at the wedding venue very early coordinating the whole set up and it could not have been more beautiful! it was everything i imagined and more. I got to enjoy the day without an ounce of stress, knowing that our wonder woman had it all covered! Thank you so much Leann for your honesty, transparency, professionalism and amazing organizational skills. You exceeded all our expectations and i hope other couples planning to have their wedding in Cape Town will be wise enough to book you.

If you are doing research into finding a wedding planner and you have been lucky enough to come across Leann and are looking at reviews for reassurance then you don’t need to look any further. I was the type of bride who had a clear vision of what I wanted and didn’t think I needed a wedding planner, (I’m creative and have had this day planner out since I was about 10!) but it became apparent only a couple of months before the wedding that I needed someone to help me and it was the best decision we made, Leann was worth her weight in gold .

She enabled us to enjoy the planning and was a huge support, I would suggest “rejigging” finances if needed to incorporate Leann for your day, she will take all of the stress away, enabling your day to be better than you could ever imagine. There will absolutely be something that crops up that you hadn’t planned for, (in my case it was a dear friend who had turned vegetarian that I didn’t allow for, which may seem minor but you want perfection and everyone to enjoy themselves) one text to Leann on the wedding morning whilst I was having a wonderful, fun, relaxing time getting (due to Leann keeping me on track) and it was sorted. This minor hiccup was the biggest worry we encountered because Leann had helped plan EVERYTHING else and it was all in hand.

She works for you and only you, you are her best interest and she has such a wonderful way that you want her at your wedding as a dear friend. She kept us on budget and we were able to be genuine and say what we could and couldn’t do, without judgment or being pushing into something that was beyond our means. My minor “vegetarian” panic (that was totally my oversight) was the only issue because we had Leann who planned our day to absolute perfection, leaving nothing unplanned or thought about. I can’t stress enough that you need Leann to have a beyond perfect day. I genuinely miss our FaceTime calls and msgs, she became so much more than our wedding planner. There is nothing this little “pocket rocket” can’t achieve for you.

She is kind and really does care about you and your day. So many people in past reviews talk about her going above and beyond, I wanted to find something different to say but I can’t write this review without saying she really does do that. Our wedding day was beyond our wildest dreams and Leann will always have a fond place in our hearts. I promise your day will better with Leann involved, enabling you to enjoy the planning, I really miss that phase and once it’s over you will too, so incorporate Leann to take the stress away and enjoy every second.

You being THE BEST wedding planner aside, you really are a beautiful soul, thank you will never cover the gratitude my husband and I owe you. All our love always xxx

For those brides that are planners, the option of having an on the day coordinator is the perfect option. You are able to plan everything you’ve wanted, and your coordinator will ensure that on the day, everything is done the way you had planned and envisioned it. 

From my first meeting with Leann, she made sure we felt comfortable, she was on top of every last detail and things even I had not thought about. She made the process so quick and easy, especially in the middle of a pandemic.

Leann is so warm and inviting, where it feels as if you’re speaking to a friend, and planning a wedding - that is definitely the feelings you’d want to feel. 

She truly is fantastic. The day goes by so fast, that you want to be able to fully take it in, and not worry about those small details, which why Leann was so perfect!

We hired Leann earlier this year to be our wedding planner and apart from the choice of my wife, it was the best decision I made. While arranging a wedding seems stressful enough, Leann was always on top of everything that was going on. We could call or email her with any questions and she always responded in a timely fashion. 

Her research and choice of suppliers was excellent, often saving us lots of money. We were given great advice on suppliers, not to mention the many meetings and petrol required driving around Cape Town, to pull the big day together. No detail was too small or overlooked by Bells and Whistles and as a first time couple getting married, we were never made to feel silly for questions that must seem like run-of-the-mill or business-as-usual for a wedding planner. 

As the big day approached, our levels of anxiety didn’t increase because we knew Leann had everything under control, even when the odd thing went wrong, which it 100% always does leading up to a wedding, we knew we were in good hands. 

To put this into perspective, we got married at Daylight Studios in Bree street, which is an absolutely stunning venue, but it is on the third floor, with no lift and requires an outdoor pulley system to get anything large up to the venue. This was handled with military precision, all thanks to the studios owners and Leann. 

It’s not often that the vision you have in your minds eye, is what really appears in front of your eyes when you enter a venue but in our case it was exactly what we had envisaged and that takes something special. Leann was the first person there on the day of the wedding, she did her job with a smile of her face, making everyone around her feel welcome, including guests when they started to arrive. They were the last to leave on the night and the break down crew the following day, made our lives easy, which is what you’re after on your first day married.

Leann was a lifesaver for us, as we had the added complication of trying to organize a wedding from abroad. She really does go above and beyond and we could never have done it without her. In the build up to the wedding we both had maxed out stress levels but she was so calm and patient with us and our wedding turned out to be the perfect day. 

All the millions of custom things we asked for were organized efficiently and in a cost effective manner. It’s obviously such a big day in your life and Leann almost single-handedly helped us create the perfect memories of a day we’ll never forget. If I could give advice to any bride it would be to hire a wedding planner as soon as you get engaged! This was one of the mistakes I made as I did much of the planning myself until about a month before the wedding where I contacted Leann from Bells & Whistles to be my on-the-day coordinator. 

Words cannot express the amount of worry and relief that was avoided by having Leann part of my special day. On the day of the wedding I was completely relaxed, was pampered by my bridesmaids and did not step foot at the venue until I walked down the aisle. When I arrived, there was everything setup for me just as I had planned and discussed with Leann – this was wonderful as I could enjoy my day with guests and not be concerned about minor details. 

There were some hiccups that occurred like decor items not being delivered that I had ordered, but Leann availed herself the morning of the wedding to sort out and collect – it was great not having to be concerned about this either. 

My wedding cake was also somewhat of a disaster however Leann took it upon herself to contact the pastry chef at the venue to fix – I was only made aware of the initial disastrous cake by my bridesmaid in the reception which was great – no one ran to me with any emergencies as this was sorted out beforehand.



I had a wonderful day, everything was beautifully setup and I thank Leann for being extremely professional and helpful throughout. I would definitely recommend her services.

Bells & Whistles were there for us on our wedding day. The collaboration with Mabel M Florals was magical! We also took the wedding day coordinating package and we got more than we expected.

Leanne was on top of everything and even took off her shoes to run when she felt the shoes would slow her down, just to make sure that everything went according to plan. We are very happy with how it all worked out and would recommend this team any day.

Thank you Leann for the amazing job done leading up to and on our Wedding day. From the day I met Leann I knew she was going to ensure our day was special and a good memorable one. We had already booked the venue, which came with nothing, not a table, chair nor a fork, a blank canvas as it is called. I had an idea of what needed to be done for the wedding but needed someone with the experience to put it all together. We agreed that Leann would do our on the day coordination and setup, but she went way over and above the call of duty. During our meetings she seemed to know exactly what I was envisioning. She has this calmness about her that puts your mind at ease and allows you to trust her completely. She met me at times that were convenient, working around my busy work schedule.

Leann ran down a checklist to ensure that we hadn’t overlooked anything and made suggestions on decisions we still needed to make. She met me at the various vendors that would supply us on the day. She tested different décor setups, understood my vision and exhibited the patience to understand my constantly changing ideas. We worked within our limited budget, and she made sure I would get the best quality items at the price suited to our pockets. Before the wedding, I sent her all the details of our vendors, of which she followed up with all of them that all is in order for the day.

Our venue had a few limitations but Leann handled it with poise and in the calm manner that makes her suited to be the best wedding coordinator. She also has a vast knowledge of which vendors are the best and we decided to go with her recommendation of Mabel from My Wedding box to do our flowers for on the day. The flowers were amazing! Mabel understood what I was looking for in the flowers immediately. I wanted a lush, elegant, classic beautiful look for the flowers which matched the elegance of the décor. She got it right more than I could ever have imagined. It was the finishing touch needed to give the venue the complete feel of true sophistication and elegance.

Leann also has a photo booth service, Oh Snap! Photography. This provided the entertainment for the guests while they waited. The setup was professional and guests were given their photos instantly after taking them. The photo booth didn’t take up lots of space, and that allowed for free movement in the foyer of the venue. The picture quality is amazing and the props used create that feel of quirkiness and fun. Our guests loved it! I know that it is because of Leann that my wedding ran smoothly on the day, she made sure that everything fell into place. Even after the wedding, she was there for us, she ensured the items were returned to the vendors, finding out how we felt, how our honeymoon was, being the support we needed. Leann and her team made our dream wedding a fairy tale reality, and I am forever thankful to her. I feel that Leann is more than my wedding coordinator she has become a part of my life and I am thankful for meeting her.

My recommendation to any bride is, to get a wedding coordinator that understands you and your needs. Someone that will be there for you, that you can trust, putting your mind at ease and who will be professional and provide quality service.
